Whats the best 27 turn motor

What is hands down the best 27 turn motor for running touring car on carpet track.

ok not gunna lie, but the co27 is currently the dominate motor in any type of stock racing, everyone loves it, everyone uses it, i also have some monster stocks i still love to death, and they love me back....pretty much those are the two types of motors you want, gear them correctly, and clean everyone 4-5 runs with motor spray and relube (i do every race so i don't have to cut comms as much) and they will last a season, im still running my co27 from this time last year, and its still a champ!

Do you think a futaba speed control would run a CO27?

Its a 20turn max. speedy, so theoretically it should... might think about upgrading to stock instead of running 540 :)

Off cause you can run the CO27 with that ESC…but if you want the feel and the full potential of the motor you need at better ESC like the KO VFS-1.
I ran the C027 this winter on indoor carpet, and it a killer. At the end of the indoor season everyone did the blue can(co27).
I recommend the TeamBrood version

With that speed controller I'm probably not even feeling the full power of 540 :)

well it sounds like your on a budget, so id look into the novak gts, or just search rctech or ebay for a gt7 (or a gtx if you had some money burning a hole in your pocket)

id suggest a co27 from eric anderson (ea) he makes killer motors, also he is on these forums: http://rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=44983

It would depend on the track.

Larger flowing ones would be a more RPM based one, I believe the X-stock would be the current one but I;m not 100%.

While short ones or ones with many corners would definitely be the CO-27

nope, always the co27, you just gear it differently for different tracks, the co27 doesn't fade at the end like most brushed stocks.

I may be retarded but what motor is the co27? Are you talking about the Cobalt?

You still want to use a Co27. Has good rpm and torque, just needs to be geared properly.

Out of interest, how many teeth up on the pinion are you guys going with the CO27 over the Monsters?

Thanks
Skiddins

2 teeth on average, sometime 1 tooth. But for UK tracks 2 teeth would be great start...

edseb 04-30-2007 02:42 PM

Yep, 2 teeth is a good start. 64p too on that.
