You can't go wrong with the Schumacher mi3. It's the most innovative car on the market, easiest to work on (2 srews and your entire diff is in your hand), and their customer support is superb
I've run Tamiya, Xray - and Schumacher is the most consistent car I have run from race to race. And they don't come out with new kits every 6 months like some of the other manufacturers.

First I would go to your local track and find out what they have good parts support for, I know you can buy them online, but (A) that dosent help you local track make any money, and if they don't make money the close (B) there will come a time when you don't have the right spare and it would be nice to be able to pick one up at the track, instead of finishing your day early.
