not really, from my expirence they increase tire wear because it softnenes the rubber/foam

tire wear comes from sliding or less grip but some tires depending on how much rubber is in the foam is the most factor.

more rubber less wear.

It usually depends on the driver and conditions, but I think it helps with tire wear.
