Xray T2 '008 ?????
Is there a T2 08 coming out soon ????
|
omg not another one how old is T2 007........ new stuff becomes ancient
|
I heard this car is dialed.
|
I really hope not, I am just getting the 007 in a week
|
Odds on that there will be one. XRAY have a pattern of annual car releases. Probably late this year though.
|
their are no plans to release a new car right now or in the near future. we all feel like their is still alot of untapped potential in the 007, just with our set-ups and things.

This thread was already awesome. I'm on my knees. (Watch it, I know I opened the door there?) LORD XRAY> >Please bring us a center mount battery design that my future 6000's will fit. Once all the current cars on the market get boring enough and lipo has dominated the race scene. I don't think the current designs can really get any better. The new cars will have to change in suit of the new type-r. If not then sub-c will be around even longer than it looks as of now. Just my-penny. And we know every manufacturer is looking to the future and we would all be naive to think Mr. Hudy isn't sitting around the house dreaming some thing up. if I don't receive my 008 by the next indoor carpet season or a least a hint that its coming, I will be force to do the unthinkable. Buy a Slosi. :D I know its dialed. |
this is gonna be fun anybody wanna go half on a pizza

Looks like the FK04 will have to be dusted off boys!! LOL Lipo pack foward and motor and spur ubber slamed, Same arms, geomitry, just everything slammed. narrowed cause lipo are thinned now.....Could make for some serious action....EXCEPT FOR THE 148 grams you have to add to make it ROAR legel......BABABABABABABABABA -Shookie <>< |
I heard it was going to be 2 cell LiPo only, with a cage in the middle for the pack and ability to remove pack from bottom of the chassis.
The T2'008R is coming out two months afterwards. |
it's gonna be a tenth faster.
|
its going to be able to fly....how many more cars are there going to be with XRAY?
|
Hopefully they will stick with the 007 for a whole year or more and focus on the Nitro chassis
|
Just to add to the rumours - I heard from a good source that Xray are currently testing 2 chassis on from the 007 - and are looking to move from 12 month release to 6 month!!
:tire: :tire: :tire: :tire: :tire: :tire: Mi3 released today - glad I sat it out!!   |

|
I would like to see a 1/12th scale from XRAY
|
Any plans on making a LiPo friendly Xray? That Mi3 might be calling my name if it doesn't get easier to put a LiPo in an Xray.
|
dont the Orion 3200 fit with no mods

XRAY PRESS RELEASE: Monday April 23 2007 (AP)
Xray has announced their new flagship touring car, the T2 '008. Coming in three varieties, EU Asphalt Edition, US Carpet Edition, and LiPo edition. Prices will be announced soon. from www.xray.com/news |
In the interest of protecting shareholder profit and retail store margins, X Ray would like to advise we will be releasing a new T2 varient car every week, thanks to advances in R & D and different coloured screws for top and bottom bulkheads having a very slight but not pointless effect on visual asthetics.
This week will be the T2-007.010201102221 .......not too far from the truth :D |

I hear Brasky designed the '008.

I'm pretty sure Osama was hired for Xray development team.
Yes, I left it xray.com so that nobody will be fooled. |
With them releasing a new chassis every 6 months or so, I wouldnt be suprised, the 008 should be out about the time I get my 007 on the track

It's hard to talk too much trash on XRay right now, the cars are beautiful and it's basically considered an upset when an XRay driver doesn't win a large event.
I do think it would be neat to see them maybe fork the sedan design, and release a second car that's a modernized "balanced" chassis that's more FK04 inspired, and could possibly do more with LiPo, but I doubt they'll bother since they're winning every race already, and don't seem overly concerned with emerging technology. The onus is on the other companies to challenge XRay, they're clearly on top right now. |

ITs just fun to talk about the newest version that everyone will be crying about to either get or the fact that there 0007 is not even a year old |
Why would they want to make a chassis for lipo? I don't think lipo's are leagal at any major event.
|
From the first year Xray created they were realising every year new car. it used to be around March but for the T2007 changed to around November.
So I guess next car will be around that time ;) |

And if not LiPo, a chassis that's more balanced to handle the heavier brushless electronics might be worthy of consideration. There's certainly plenty of momentum behind that. They probably don't care, like you said. I'm just throwing out ideas, since they have to change something other than the design of the bulkheads and height of the topdeck to justify a new car. |
the club racers at my local track think the 007 is a piece of ass it dont handle well and they all jumped back onto the t2 and sold the 007 so hopefully the 008 will be a mild variant on the t2 as they discontinued that and i wanted a new 1

In my opinion Paul L ( paul lemieux ) word is as good as gold no sense in talking about 08 car when the one of the best in the world says there are no plans in the near future. |
