Default What type of foam material are foam tires made from?

Iíve been searching for the foam used in our foam tires, but haven't had much luck. Anyone know what type of foam our tires are made from? Any idea of where I can buy it in raw form? Thanks!

To be extremely general, the foam is neoprene. However, as all things are in racing, there are a ton of different variables that are played with to create all the different versions and specifications that we actually use in racing. Some compounds contain natural rubber, others contain all man-made. All these factors make a difference in how the tires work.

Knock yourself out making your own tires, however, expect to spend large sums of cash, and be prepared to test your patients working out compounds that will actually work.

i was told there is only 4 company's that make the foam we use for tires
where is it cant tell you
i was also told there is only one company that makes the foam

i do know that on one big sheet all the different shors are cut out of it and different tire company's do different grading of the foam.
and some tire company's get other company's to do it for them.
