What could be the cause of a slippery rear end, i have a TA05 fully optioned with all alloy and carbon fibre chassis.

Im running sorex tyres not sure of compound and noticed the rear is sliding out, i also got a front one way?

What could it be and what can i do to help it?

I had the same problem, and swapped the one-way for a Tamiya direct coupling (53877). It's now rock solid, although slightly less sharp on turn-in. Spent last Sunday at the track and it performed very capably.

Spent tonight rebuilding the rear diff with JAAD ceramic balls. Completely unrelated, but I wanted to share

So you wreckon its the front one way that had let it down?

Who i got the car from said to me for one poarticular race track to use the one way and at the one i went to go and practice at last night he said to use just a normal one.

it looks like it will... but it wont

the blue one way bearing assembly in the TA05 center one way set will foul on the upper deck (its too big in comparison to a center pulley which is what it replaces in the center assembly)

this is why there are 2 different parts available because the center assemblies are different and not compatible!

I am looking to join the local race in my area this season and I have narrowed down to either the TA05MS or TA05 IFS-R. Hopefully also to join the TAC series in my area as well.
I prefer the MS because of the stiffness of the CF chassis, previously I was racing with the robitronic Avid, but then there are many out there which says that the flex in the TA05 IFS-R will help in the handling.
The track is carpet, medium bite, 23T only, no lipo(subject to change)...

Any advice? Does body shell selection will affect the performance for 23T racing? I am looking at #51359 Nissan GTR R35 or #51336 Porsche 911 GT3....

Raced my MS on the weekend and it went great, very pleased with it, TQ'd in stock 17.5 but ended up second, guy who won still has a 13.5 in his car but it didnt fuss me, i wasnt to far off him anyway Just wanting to know how can i increase my turn in without loosing traction out of the corner? Any little adjustments i can gradually make to the car?

Default rc

Lots of options - first try harder springs on the rear "or" softer on the front

I have a TA05R and a TA05MS. I run on asphalt and it is clear to me that from a performance standpoint, the MS is far superior. The MS handles more precisely, has more rear grip, and has a more efficient drive train. In 23 turn classes, I don't think the body will make too much of a difference, but it could be the difference between a win and a loss if other guys are running performance bodies.

For an easy fix (it could be other things), I'd try to mess with the front roll center or the upper front shock position. I found that the TA05MS is sensitive to those changes. Without the perfect roll characteristics into corners, the car will push. My TRF416 on the other hand, has a more sensitive rear end.

Posting your setup may help to remedy your handling issue.

HI 808- My car is pretty much stock, all that i have changed is the rear shock position is center and the front is 2nd hole from fully upright. How much stiffer are the tamiya blue springs than the stock white springs.

yeahyeah- I will have a chat next time i see you and see what we can do if i havent solved the problem yet.

Cheers
