Tamiya TA05MS
#181

Damn wisdom teeth will be getting taken out next weekend so I won't be there.
I had an MSX before, but I really wasn't ready for it, but the more I have been driving the more I think I would like to try it, and keep my TA05 ready just in case.
I hope to be out racing at Nats with you, and I preparing like I will race. HOWEVER, Tamiya employees are not allowed to race Nats, so we will have to see how that works out.

weights and photos:
TRF415MSXX:

Electronics MSXX:
Servo: KO Propo PDS-2413 ICS
Receiver: Spektrum Micro
ESC: Novak GTB
Motor: Novak 3.5R
TA05MS:

Electronics 05MS:
Servo: KO Propo PDS-2413 ICS
Receiver: Spektrum Micro
ESC: Novak GTB
Motor: Novak 5.5R with sintered rotor
Both kits have titanimu/aluminium screws. 415MSXX has a front diff, 05MS has a one-way instead.
I think the 3.5R ribbed can is around 12g lighter than the 5.5R, thus you can your own take conclusions.... for me, weight difference is negligible.

thanks for the awnsers. it makes my decision a bit easyer.
i will go for the ta05ms when it comes to holland.
Cruisaaja, i am driving a hop uped ta05 with a orion v2 element 19t and six cells. it is not the car in the picture that is a rebuilt f102 tamiya.

Try checking ebay for digital scales... they should be good enough.

By the way, the Xanavi Nismo Z qualified 10th in the Sugo race today.

Me too... I have the 05ms now and will tell how it performs after Aug.11... We're going to have a race at the said date and I'm going to be joining only in open stock 23t... will see if it could beat the 415 kits that will be joining and other high end kits of other brands...
