If people fight at the track they desserve to be kicked from the track. these are toy cars more to some people but still toys. owners of the track should talk about this before each race at the drivers meeting. doesnt matter what the reason for fighting it all ends up on the same thing being kicked out.

When I ran our first club and we were having 40 guys show up to race, I wouldn't even let them talk any serious smack. I had a really great group of racers, who show up and even help competitors just so that we could have good races. When people came in and started trying to wreck the positive dynamics, told them knock it off. Some who were talking smack were really getting on the nerves some of the club founding members.

Look racing should be about enjoying racing and comaderie, not trying to "out other people in their place and humiliating them".

Good racers who are good guys are great people to be around.

Talking smack is part of competitiveness. You wouldnt let people talk trash? How did you regulate that? A grown a$$ man allowing another grown a$$ man telling him how he can and cannot speak? Yea, thats Oregon for you. Try that in a city with more than a cow and a few horses, and you would be INDUCING violence.

That was in the central valley of California. I would understand the need to talk smack in New York, isn't that the way that people speak there? Or is that just a shameful Hollywood stereotype of people in New York.

The club wasn't founded on smack. The first year there wasn't smack, it came the second year, and it was an unwelcomed guest. Besides the guy who was running his mouth couldn't back it upon on the track and left the sport. I bought up all his cars like 18 of them for 600.00 bucks. I actually paid him more money than what he asked for. It helped him out at the time and I was able to put a lot of young drivers in them.

When you have your best three racers complaining and not wanting to come back because some new guy is being a pain, you do something.

I'm sure that you would do something if it was three of your best friends and someone else comes in running his mouth and ruining it for everyone else.

There is a difference between talking smack and being an a-hole.
Smack is a part of losing. And some times winning?
Its funny when you lose you hang out after the race and smack talk and tell everyone why you lost. People are all ears.

But win the race, and hang out, and try to tell every one how you won?
Its like how many farts does it take to clear a room? Every one just ups and leaves.
I like to talk smack but I do it in a nice way.
I think its a good buddy system.
The only time I'm really serious is when I'm on the drivers stand holding my breath for five minutes.
