I know one thing for sure- you can see that the motor is turning something in that tube which transitions the rotation from perpendicular to parallel to drive the spur gear. And I may be wrong, but is he using a blade type spring instead of a coil spring?

It's definately shaft drive...

Where's the servo? Where's the other half the cell closest to the rear of the car? What happens to that rubber band holding the battery in when you hit something?

On second looks it is similar to the Predator in the the suspension looks more inboard than out. Would be good to see some clear close up photo's though, but be patient, as with any proto I bet photo's will be almost banned before the car is really ready to come out the covers.

Good luck with it I say, and as said before it is good to see a new 'kid' on the block as such !

Servo is on his hand/table.

I really wonder if it require different pinon/spur gear, as I dont think you can do 90deg cross with existed pinon/spur, no way.

So the real problem is: is motor mount able to take impact, and is gear easy to wear, one of biggest problem for shaft car.

Anyway, it's interesting design. If it works, I will give it a try (and replace suspension to something else for easier parts supply.. ha)

spot on those purple A-shaped twin upper link,

almost look alike with old TRF-414 or TA-04R front suspension,
it could be their way to increase suspension rigidity such as front upper arm of V1RRR or other current nitro car.

Hi all!

I saw this car at the 5-th round of Russian Indoor Cup 2007 which was held in St. Petersburg.
It's excellent design. It's a lot of innovation. Unique shocks.
Extremely low unsprung mass, great side by side balance and lowest CG in the world (i think so).
It uses a traditional spur and pinion, so no problems with this.

At this race car drived by Vitaly Karpov.
By the way several leading Russian drivers tried this model and be happy.
On the track the car is looking a bit unusual: roll are very low and this leads to very high corner speed.
Awesome!

I can't post detailed pics because it's still TOP SECRET.
Some information on Russian forum (translated): LINK
Pics comming soon.

It will be bomb...

Hey Ruskie, good luck with your new whip. It is going to be a hard sell convincing belt guys to go back to shaft. KGB is going to have to release more pics and specs.

The best smile is the last one the pics and specs will be later, when the car released and the new brand released. The car will be a bit differ from you see (from what you may see))))))), but performance of the car is much better than my t2'007 for nowadays..

So thanks for all responses :-) will see you much later ;-)

How does pinon connected with spur???? Is there a 90deg mini gear box on right side of chassis, convert motor shaft -> 90deg turn -> standard pinon -> spur.

And damper, is damper on chassis, connected with lower arm? Doesnt look like a rod-damper design.
