Unhappy Novak Millennium Problem

I have a Millennium Charger that I have used it maybe 15 times. I usually use my Turbo 35 but wanted a Novak Charger to just do my charging. Tonight I had a false Peak with my charger where it started to charge the battery for about 2 min and then it said it was done. I pushed the Start Button again and it gave a error message "Battery Not Connected" I tried again and it gave the same message. I then starting trying my other packs (10 packs total) and it said the same message for all the packs. I then tried the original pack on my friends Millennium Charger and it took the charge fine. Is there something that I can do to fix this problem or has anyone had this problem before? I thought maybe something shorted it but there was nothing around the battery and the battery was on top of the charger. Also when you guys plug in you charger and it starts up does the fan on the bottom start to run or is it one of those auto-senseing fans that come on only when it heats up?

Thanks

Mike Webb

Hi!
Yes, the fan turns on when you start charging, it's not temperature automated.

Are your battery packs old? What deltapeak value are you using?

My battery packs are anywhere from 1 month old to 8 months old. I am using a 4mv threshold. My friends Millennium is set up the same way and it chrages all the batteries fine. I think something is wrong with my charger and not the batteries .

I charge my 2400 NiCads with a 10mv/cell threshold.

good luck
I don't want to tell you something, and have your batteries or charger blow up!

Jack-

You are correct. I do charge my 2400 with the 10mv threshold but latly all I have been running are my 3000SMH. I like them better in stock then my 2400. I do better with them.

You don't adjust the threshold in the NIMH2 mode, it's fully automatic. Kinda scary, but it seems to work fine.

It was great seeing you again the other night... Bruckners was some big fun today.

hi dave,

it was nice seeing you as well and thanks again, it is very much appreciated and will not be forgotten. it works great.

when i was at willis i bought the millenum. i kept false peaking today with my 3000hv. i never falsed with the turbo thirty. i thought maybe the delta was too small.

the other thing that really annoyed me (novak gets a phone call about this)...the pti wizard cord does not work with the cyclone tc (first one) the plus is female and so is the speedo...is the tc2 male?

raffaelli, you should have gotten a certificate of some kind to send to novak for the other cord for older cyclones
