Thumbs up FUTABA MC850C

Dude I'm way curious about this esc also. I've been comparing high end esc's lately and I thought the twister 2.2 was the best overall I could find... However, I just stumbled across this new futaba and it looks awfully impressive!

The Hara twister has the following important specs....
max current> 3120A
continuous current> 780A

This futaba MC850C has the following important specs....
max current>3360A
continuous current>840A
And it's fully programmable!!!

I wanna know if anyone is running this ESC!!!
It looks to me like it has some impressive numbers!!!
Someone buy one and give some feedback so we know what the damn deal is!

Default stellar

i've been running it this year (vegas-4th, cleveland-3rd). it's killer. i have chosen not to include the accessories (schotty, cap), and have had no issues. the pic is so-so, but it's nice and small, and is the same height (thickness) as futaba's receivers so they look nice next to each other. it's also sweet that the case is aluminum, and serves as it's own heatsink. i haven't reconfigured it (should be getting the ciu-2 programmer soon), but the stock settings seem just fine. i do think the voltage cutoff will be something of value though.

like i said, i haven't played with the features much, but for a competition esc, the on-track performance is stellar.

Default MC850C

The pc interface is allready out for these. Check tower hobbies and type in futaba pc interface on the search tab. It's about $70. Also, this esc will not run a brushless motor. If you want a good brushed and brushless esc get a LRP Sphere....
