Default Losi tires??

Has anyone use the Losi pink compound rubber tires with any success??

These are the tires that come with the G+, and I was wanderig if they where worth glueing up to the nice wheelsw that came with the car.....

I will not be using the losi inserts, I hae a set of Tamiya hard inserts and I like the way they fit better......

So are they worth it of should I just file 13 them with the Losi inserts???

I had a friend tell me they are very close in traction to Sorex 28's. I'm gonna be running mine for the first time this weekend, so we'll see...

I tried running my kit tires on carpet w/ the rock hard Losi inserts, and that was absolutely awful. (I knew that was going to be bad, but I had to try it anyway ) However, I would like to hear from somebody that has tried them on asphalt with some proper inserts.

Well i'm not gonna use the rock hard inserts...I'm using Yok. mediums that I had laying around instead. Wonder how that will work.

Default Losi tires??

We used to run Losi Tires on Concrete with great success. Red (cool temps), Yellow (warm), Blue (hot).
The Reds would melt if overheated, I never liked the grip of the yellows for Nitro and the Blues worked good in direct sun, but would be loose if the track had shady areas. Never got any them to work well on Asphalt myself.

I ran the pinks with HPI red inserts and they were terrible. For about the first couple laps they were great then they picked up everything off the track and got really slick. This was on a carpet track.

Very clean, very well maintained. The tires picked up loose bits of carpet and debris from other cars. Everything just stuck to them. It was unreal.

Yes i just had THE EXACT SAME THING happen to me tonight. The tires pick up EVERYTHING and they're toast in one run I think Losi needs to rethink those compounds.

Well, I've learned to never trust kit tires, unless they are sorex, or the good tamiya tires.
