1/10th Pan Car: CORALLY C10X
Hi everyone,
I have recently purchased a Corally C10X and I want to get high speeds out of it. I want to run a Epic 10X2 however I don't know what are the best gears to use for high speeds. What gears should I use??? Pinion? (Teeth) Spur Gear? (Teeth, Pitch) Kind regards, Paul |
Try a 44 t 64p pinion and a 93t 64p spur, should give a fairly fast speed with a 6 cell, don't know how long your motor will last , but it'll be moving when it does start leaking smoke

I am actually running a 48p 86t Spur and a 48p 16t pinion and that runs quite good. Thanks anyway |
run the 10x2 at 3mm timing, and a rollout of around 35mm.

adjust the motor's timing so it's 3mm from zero.
have a look at www.gearchart.com on that web page you can create gearing charts, telling you the number of mm the car travels when the motor turns 1 time. You can adjust this number by gear selection, and rear tire diameter. Normally you start with a full size tire (diameter around 63 mm) and a certain rollout that suits your motor, the motor's timing, the track you run on and your driving style. When your tires wear down, the rollout number changes. By adjsuting your gearing, you can keep the same rollout and motor performance. just have a try, and report back if you can't get it figured out. |
Does anybody still make 1/10th scale GTP pan car bodies like in the old days?
They would be super fast with todays technology  Later Kevin Boyle  |

gO fAST
GET RID OF THE BRUSHED MOTOR GET A BRUSHLESS SYSTEM WITH SINTERED ROTOR...END OF STORY....
