Heres a thought on hop ups for the T1R...

Every part for the Xray Evo2 is a hop up because If i understand correctly all the parts are interchangeable so therefore all the bits on the Evo 2 will fit the racer That sure makes one hell of a hop up list

Congrats on the X-Ray choice!! That makes one more x-ray on the track for the Losi guys to beat!!!LOL J/K!!!

BTW; for $20 usd more than the T1R you can have the full optioned XXX-S G+...... that makes it a much better deal than the x-ray to me!!!! As for hop-up options.... if it aint in the Losi box you don't need it!!!

If you want to upgrade all the way to the Evo2 over time, it'll be expensive - way more expensive, than buying a Evo2 from the very beginning.

If it is the Evo2 you want - do some more saving. Otherwise, consider very carefully which upgrades you need.

Ok... if you're going to base you descision on the fact that you can upgrade to an EVO2 you might as well just buy one, because if you do upgrade to an EVO2 I bet all the parts you would need to go from the Raycer to the EVO2 would probably be only $100 below buying the whole car itself. Which in my mind is pointless. You might as well save your money now and buy the EVO2 if that is what you want. Always buy the best kits available, since it will save you money in the long run.

As far as the XXX-S G+ being fragile. I would say that is not true, if anyone should be breaking the car it would be me. All I've broken so far is one rear suspension arm. Boo Hoo! A whole $5.50 and 5 minutes to swap it! I've only been doing this since October 2002. However, I have yet to see a broken XRay, but the people who drive XRays at my track I would consider experts.

hey Impactplayr, remember i live in Australia and the retail price for a xray T1R is $550AUS, for a losi G+ it is $800AUS.. so actually i am putting $250AUS more into a losi....
but thanks for the reply anyways

Not sure thats a fair comparison the T1R and the Losi G+ after all the T1R is a budget racer the G+ isn't you should really compare the price with a standard Losi. In the UK you can pick that up for between 160 and 210 pounds and the T1R is I think 199 pounds.
I run a standard Losi have done for 8 months or so racing indoors with some very unforgiving walls all I've managed to break is a front hub carrier and a front wishbone two seperate crashes!!! but I have crashed loads of times.
I used to run a Corally C4 AGLE which is kindof similar to the T1 but I gave up couldn't get it to handle indoors no matter what I tried. Strong car though all I ever damaged were wishbone pivot pins kept bending 'em.
IN my opinion from what I've heard the Losi has the edge but only just but I havent seen a T1R yet.
I did hear a rumor about excessive flex in the T1R chassis but have seen nothing to substantiate this anyone any more info??

The T1R is MUCH more flexible than the Evo2.....anyone who tells you otherwise has not seen the T1R in real life!

In fact the T1R is more flexible than a Tamiya TA04R...that is also a fact!

That leaves alot of room in there because my 04R was almost as siff as my FT TC3..... however neither compares to my G+... by far teh stiffest chassis I have ever felt!!!!
