Hi all, I just finished my TC3 it has a factory Fantom modified 10 to 1 in it with a Cyclone 2 novak ESC plus I added the racing shottky on the motor "Novak" and I'm running a 3000 pak one matched sony SMC and one Dyna-fun, anyway I got it running ran the sony pack no problems thought all was good to go. put the Dyna pack in it after cool down and ran it again and poof my ESC melted on one side my Dyna pack melted the heat shrink around it and I know my ESC is toast it show's prgram led but goes full throttled then smokes when I hook it back up ...everything is wired right where is my mistake or did i make one and yes the esc has the Power Capacitor on it ?? or is the Dyna pack the wrong ? any help please ..

Not much any one can do now? Get a shovel and bury it out back.
Seriously though sorry to hear it. May have just been an old speedo. Or a bad connection.
Probably best to get a new system? I would look into a brushless system like the new XBR. Heres a couple of links. These are very affordable.

Did you put the Schottky on backwards?

Sounds like you may have hooked the batt up backwards.You will smoke the speed control in a second when you do this.Been there .....done that
