Any updates on these systems? When they will be released? It's going to be a tuff call choosing a used gtb or this new system.

Novak is on target for a late May ship date for the XBRs and the systems. The EX motors started shipping to distributors this week.
You can also exchange your GTB.

I would just like to point out this is larger than a R1 and only slightly cheaper at $130 vs $160. I suspect it also need the cap that is as large as the unit.
The R1 is rated to a 5 turn and is unlimited in brushed fwd. It will handle the 3s lipo, up to 9 cell Sub-C(novak stops at 7), weighs less(over 1/2oz), has a true 3.0amp bec(Novak only has 1.5). Why limit so many features for $30!? I know this is a "sport" brushless but come on. The R1 has this thing beat bad. The BEC is the most disappointing. People are going to save a little $$ and be dissapointed when they drop in there nice servo and it's not as fast as it should be. Add the personal transponder, spektrum and you're out of juice. This is the most overlooked "spec" for beginners who are often beginner racers...not just bashers.
It's great to see new products come out. Novak is a great company with helpful staff. I'd like to see the Gtb get revamped, is it next?
Before everyone bashes me for the R1 not being out yet, I'd say don't yell too loud. I may know something you don't.
Cheers

Has any one compared the 2 systems? ...XBR-EX13.5 & GTB-SS13.5...
Any differences, performance wise? (same car, same conditions)
Also... would this combination be better - XBR-SS13.5 ?
