I have never used this personally, but from what I have seen and read about it, it will bring the cells down to .85v per cell, and the standard for the IB4200s right now seems to be .90 not sure how much of a difference the .05v would have but you may want to look into it. Someone else can probably go into more detail. Hope this helps a little

For a cheap good discharger look at a integy reactor you can get 20 25 and 30 amp models or a bulb setup with a deans black box to cut the voltage off.

you need something to bring the cells down to .95 or 1.00.
lower and myself and others have found hurts the cells.
and a discharger that wont make the cells to hot.

and after you run the pack dont discharge them, leave them.
let the pack cool after running 2 hours about then put 500 to 900 sec of charge in the pack.
the packs that iv done this to seem to have more punch and the cells dont die.
i use the much more discharger but yes i know its allot of money.

the dpd discharges the hole pack to a point then cell by cell.
the MM is cell by cell and the deadshort on the MM is not to 0 volts its what ever you set it to its kinda like the newer novak
if you set it to .95 for 2 min it will stay at .95 for 2 min

Hole pack to point with 30A pulse then cell by cell with linear 5A? some said to me if u discharge 30A pulse and cut-off .9v on DPD after one cell reach their cut-off other cell will discharge on linear 5A. so not all pack discharge on 30A pulse.

I discharge my 4200's using the spintec and equalize them out using the novak smart tray. It seems to work allright for me.
