AAA's?

hey was looking round in k mart today (department store), and spotted 1000mah duracell nimh AAA's now the price was reasonable but i was wondering bout making a reciever pack (reason why im in electric on road as it would be for an electric dragster) so im curious would these cells work alright or do digital servo's draw to much?
also how do you solder up AAA's ? does any one make battery bars? ive heard copper braide (desolder braide) does the trick, any ideas?
cheers guys

Even the cheapest consumer AAA's should be able to handle a servo, to solder them up I use solid copper wire but desoldering braid is OK too.
