I saw the head of Irrgang Racing Service (IRS) last night. Seems he's looking into making parts for the micros. I'm dying to see what he comes up with.

I don't think metal parts for the car will make it perform better...sure it'llmake it durable but if you race you would look like crap..........The only metal I would add is a aluminum pinion.

If you add a graphite chassic to the Micro, won't the handling be affected. I thought the rear suspension need flex in the rear part of the chassis to function correctly.

We will start building our indoor micro rs4 track in about two week. What sizes would be good or is 25 x 20 o.k. for the micro ?

I'm thinking this will be a real cool Christmas gift for someone I know (maybe me too)... it sounds like parts are hard to find (it is HPI after all), but the cars are very durable so maybe that's not a problem. Also sounds like the Viper is a good choice and maybe a bit better for racing... any other thoughts/advice on which way to go here?

YLLIB:
My friend and I built a track in my backyard 29ft x 25 ft and the width of the lanes are....4 ft in the straights and 3 fts for the rest. I think this size is only good for stock 4 cell racing wherein the cars are very controllable. 10 cars wouldn't fit in this track though. A suggestion I made in a few Micro threads here and in the HPI forum is .....to run 10 cars- may it be stock or modified cells and motor ....a decent one should be 50ft x 40 ft with 6 ft min. lanes.
CDracer:
Yes you are right. Thats why its not advisable to get stiffer and harder chassis.
