Spend more time practicing. Save your money in case something breaks.

Good collection of springs, shock oil, pinon/spurs and tires / inserts.

utieh 03-31-2003 10:48 PM

if u don t have one, you can buy a comm lathe with 1 or 2 friends, it is quite expensive for 1 person
pinions, tires, springs, oil, .....brushes/spring, comm stick....set-up tools .
save for your girlfriend too ....a trip in a small island outside HK:D

davioh 04-01-2003 12:57 AM

what is a comm lathe? and hehehe...i'll look into the island....but peumonia....ahhhhh

davioh 04-01-2003 01:00 AM

i was thinking of the kai upgrade kit thingy...but i dunno if they'll hav it...helps so much for changing the gear and cleaning that area....

utieh 04-01-2003 02:42 AM

the kai chassis is far more expensive than 130$
i think you should buy the new 1-way too
a comm lathe is used to "cut" the commutator on the motor's armature
after a few packs the comm starts to get "dirty" (dont know how to describe in english:sweat: ) so u need to cut it with a comm lathe, which is pretty expensive $70...so it is why u can buy it with some of you friends .

if you are afraid of pneumonia go isolate urself in one of those tiny island around HK:cool: take ur sunglasses and an off-road r/c car!

davioh 04-01-2003 03:07 AM

there are 2 kinds of kai...the super limited (70 kits) and the normal kai with less stuff. all i want in the kai is the upper deck. and the normal kai is 11,800 yen like 800 hkd. and whats the diff between the old one way and new one way?

okay....the comm lathe thing...? waht?????????????

What about a Hudy Ultimate Set-up System?

utieh 04-01-2003 03:35 AM

the new 1-way won't break like the stock one during a crash, so u won't need to replace the gear each time .
I guess u want the kai chassis especially for its cool design, i don't really like the tam'chassis design, but u won't improve the performance with the Kai .

Hi Davioh,

With a Hudy Ultimate Setup System you can measure your ride height, toe-in/out, camber, droop...etc
Just check out: http://www.hudy.net/
You will also find some comm lathe info.

Where do you race ? EGR or PYC
