if someone want's to get something that they really like, they should get it. it doesn't matter if you're new to rc. after a few meetings with a TA05 he will probably spend so much on hop ups that it could cost more than a MSXX. the pro cars can take some abuse as well.

yeah i would get the car you want, for the following reasons.

1. racers at your track use it.....why? spares, knowledge, advice
2. bling factor : always
3. tamiya will last you a good while if you respect it.
4. its not gonna change every 6 months like my xray :P
5. did i mention bling factor?

buy it, race it and enjoy it.
