Default 5 cell in 27t/19t

would this work to bring it into line with 5 cell/mod
5cell/27t
5cell/19t
5cell/mod

all running the same weight ;;say 1450g..

i have suggested this for the UK scene ,very early days ,very early
And yet some people think it` s set in cemnet allready
Just aidea to bring stability & direction back in
coz at the mo we have different rules & weights for about 4 class in 1/10th TC on-road

would it work in helping
bring new racers in & get to grips with RC cars
lower racing cost`s
bring more enjoyment
blah blah blah etc etc etc......
your thoughts

PS;;would like all racing series.clubs, nats to run it ASAP ie;;from jan 2008

I've no idea about UK rules but in the US they are thinking about the same thing...going to 5-cell which I think would absolutely destroy TC on-road. The biggest problem is that many people don't just own TCs, they also own off-road buggies or Tamiya Minis (require 6cell stick packs) and other electrics that all use 6-cell. If TCs go to 5-cell then people would be forced to purchase special packs JUST for their TCs that wouldn't be used in anything else. It would be an added expense and I think most people would eventually stop with TCs altogether. I'd hate to see that happen. Personally, I think they should just make LiPo legal here and let people decide. It's already perfectly ROAR legal to run fewer cells as long as you make weight and I think they should treat LiPo the same way. Making 2-cell LiPo legal as long as you can make current weight.

forget '5cell 27 turn'. It's to slow.

We have test it already and '5cell 19 turn'(element V2) is a compatible with '6 cell 27 turn'. We need new stock motor's for the old 19 turn speed. Something like a 14 turn. The step form '19 turn 5cell' to 'brushless 3.5 5cell' is to big.

Wow... an actual post by someone who has tried 5 cell 27t. Nice to hear facts rather then speculation for a change

We'll need to get AdrianM on here then...his findings always seem to be contrary to that. He says everything is just as fast...hmmm.. I'm less apt to buy into that though...since he has more to gain from major changes.

We have it in all these classes in Sweden since Jan 1-07. In 19t & 27t, on the drivers request! And it works flawless. No burning, no heat. Less money. Less tire wear. Less wear of the whole car actually. Same laptimes or better. But we have 1350gr.

GREAT pic!!!

hoorah i have a supporter
in the UK i`m trying to persuade Uk drivers to bring 27t/19t class into line with 5cell/mod/
but the weight was goingto be 1450g
i`m getting slaughtered on the uk thread since i mentioned this idea
