Thumbs up New Spur Gears

Speedworld Raceway now has Xenon Perfect Spur Gears! These spurs are thin, light and very true. They are white in color and are available in 48 and 64 pitch. Here is the really great thing. You can get them in just about any tooth you want. The 48 pitch spurs are available from 70 tooth to 96 and the 64 pitch spurs are available from 87 tooth to 130. ALL ARE IN 1 TOOTH INCREMENTS!!! The price will be $5.50. They should be on the web site later this weekend (www.speedworldraceway.com) or you can call Billy at 916-783-8864.

What's it made out of? Is it molded or machined?

I'm going to put one on my SD when I build it tonight. As long as UPS comes through today....

They are molded plastic. Not sure what material they are, but I have been trying to beat on them for a few months straight now and they have been holding up pretty well. Still spinning true.

I ran one on Mo's SD and it ran perfectly fine, the gears are really nice. The plastic they're made out of is pretty slick, almost like teflon, I'm sure it helps somewhat with runtime and power.

The new gears were a success for the first day of sales yesterday. Everybody was buying the new gears. When racers were stripping their normal gears, it looks like they all wanted to try the new gears out. Everybody look very happy with the gears. It also seemed that it was exciting for the racers to see that that are made in single teeth increments. The gears are truly straight, quite and strong.
They were even on the new Yokomo SD winning car Yesterday.

Too bad I couldn't run the gears on the Losi.....oh yeah now I remember why.....because Trinity can't make a true spur gear adpater. I would have a KILLER spur and a wobbly adapter. Great gears though.

question:
how does it compare to Robinson Racing spurs?
i've fell in love with them..
any reasons for an affair with xenon?
