OK, since foam tires carry more corner speed the impacts are more forceful, correct?

Perhaps it's time to make the uber-flexy arms and suspension parts stronger and stop blaming the tires.

There's plenty of threads on RCTech debating the whole rubber vs foam issue. Don't clutter up yet another one with more selective data.

I'm not debating foam vs rubber. I think foam is cool. As far as durablilty goes...every car I saw slam the board...broke. You gotta finish to win. I was just pointing out that the TC5 looked real good on carpet.

No, a set of foams on a sedan costs what $30 for a set of 4 and may last 6 runs... A set of rubber tires costs the same, will last 20 plus runs.....
Foams can chunk real easy.... rubbers stay the same size...

It a $$$$$ thing .....

Even stock foam is faster in the turns than mod rubber. Don't most breaks happen from going fast, especially while you're turning?

Maybe mod foam is getting too fast even for the world's best?

Speed doesn't break parts... It's the sudden stops that do it...

Remember last year, when the IIC race thread turned into a massive foam versus rubber debate after the race?

Deja vu!

Yup. It is just as retarded an argument now as it was then. If you don't like it, don't race it. Harsh? Maybe. But if the world stops purchasing a certain product, it will too go the way of the dodo bird.

Again it was a good race, well organized and to the minute.
Thanks Scotty and crew for this.

It was to bad I slept a few nights not so wel due to the construction works at night.

The temperature in the hall was much better compaired to last year, only on sunday it was pretty low again.

If possible I would prefer a hotel on the Strip. There are a few new one's to be build so maybe......

I get 12 to 16 runs out of my foams and the car is just as fast on the first run as it is on the last run. you don't get that in foams as they fall off 2 or 3 tenth after the 2nd or 3rd run. foams only chunk when you hit something and rubber tyres get warped when you hit something. it's a push.

Frans good to see you again. I was rooting for you the last couple qualifiers as we didn't get to run together again this year. sounds like the forces were against you this year. hope to see you again next year and we can have a rematch in 2008.

I love the internet. It can let you watch racing action when you're not there, and bring up pointless debates that are already going on. Sweet. Thanks Guys.

IIC Crew- Well done again. You guys seem to have done this before or something..... I had great time of course and actually got to sleep more then a few hours this year.

Congrats to the TQ'rs and the Winners, and any racers that were "robbed" of a win by traffic.

See you all next time.

I love the internet
Charlie

Well we made it home in one piece and have started to try to catch up on our sleep.
With the 2007 IIC behind us, we would like to thank all of our sponsors.
Jaco, SMC, Muchmore, TOP Racing, Hot Bodies, Parma, Corally, CRC, Xtreme Magazine, Checkpoint, Kwik, Schumacher, Brood, Competition Electronics, Novak, Protoform, Proline, Orion, Kyosho, Associated, Kimbrough, Apex Hobbies, RCTouringcar.com, Hurricane, RC America, Xray, Team1, East Coast Bodies Tune, Futaba, Tamiya, Hacker Brushless, Serpent, Speed Merchant, Truespeed, WNYRC.COM, Rcscoringpro, Mcmoney Designs, Cutting Edge Hobbies, Ampdraw Hobbies, and ArizonaSportShirts.com.

It is with all of your help, that makes the IIC possible.

We would like to thank everyone who attended this years International Indoor Championship.
We hope that everyone had a good time. The schedule worked out much better this year. The hotel was able to regulate the temprature better. Some had some good luck in the casino. Some had TOO MUCH fun on Sunday night.
But all in all we hope you all will join us again for the 2008 IIC.

I would like to thank the team this year. They put in alot of hard work and long hours to pull this event together.

In case you did not catch all of the names of our team.
