Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could help me. Ive decided to shorten the wires on my servo, so it makes the layout look neater. I just need to know how to do everything. Any help would be appreciated.

I take the back case off and check if there is a cuicut board there if there is then see if the wire harness is connected there it it is then you can de solder it and shorten the wires then put it back on you will need a uber fine soleding tip so you dont frie out the board this works on most servos but is the cheapest way to do it

1. Buy a futaba servo
2. Remove the case
3. Using a fine tipped iron heat each of the servo leads and remove them
4. Cut the leads to your desired length.
5. Re-solder the leads to the board
6. Replace case.
7. Sell other servo

I say buy a futaba because they position their leads right at the edge of the circuit board all in a neat well spaced row, as opposed to airtronics where they are buried in caps and diodes and such all over the board.

I have a Futaba servo (S9550). So just take the back piece of the case off. Desolder the wires one by one, cut to desired length, and then resolder?
Sounds easy enough.

Ok, I opened up the back case of the servo, and I see a bunch of white glue looking stuff over where it looks like the wires solder onto. Whats the best way of getting it off? And would you recomend me taking the board out of the casing, or just leave it in?
