What happened to the Deans Speed Jig?

Couldn't find any in all web stores that I know.... and that's for a while, perhaps 3 months...

has anyone had any experience with the new yokomo battery jig? Is it similar to the deans??

cheers,

I had the same problem, and settled for a trinity jig. It does the job

The Deans Speed Jig has been out of production for a long time, over a year. About 4 months ago I contact Deans and asked them about the new version, Speed Jig II. They said they had some prototypes in house and it was close to production, obviously that has slid.

I think that I'm going to pick a yokomo one then.... that's a pity, as I've used a deans once and just feel it is the best I have tried so far...

anyway, if someone has other suggestions for good battery jigs, they're welcome!

thanks,
al

I can verify this as well, tried to buy a new one, and the local track owner has had them on back order for 6+ months now

Get a pdub car stand. Its foam, light, works as a car stand, shock holder, and a battery jig.

I have one of those Wes and it's nowhere near as good as the Deans. The problem I found with the stand was it's foam and doesn't always keep the batteries flat when building them so you can end up with a pack that's humped in the middle.

I'm sure Dean's is still working on them, in fact I will call them back and inquire on the status since I'm curious myself. In the mean time I would A. borrow one from a fellow racer, or B. buy one used from the for sale forum. Both have worked for me in the meantime.
