That is NOT a Xray prototype, or even remotely close to the 007. It's a simply a piece mill car using some Xray suspension parts. Heck it's got Corally shocks on it.

Pull your head out and listen, THIS IS NOT A XRAY CAR. Xray is not making a shaft drive car.

Thank you now I don't have to explain

It would be nice if people read before they posted

It's someones wet dream, they took parts from 3-4 different brand cars and made their own. Nothing special, please delete this thread.

To make a shaft drive in a LIPO future the shaft will need to be to the side.
Belt's are supreme with side mount drive trains. But I like shaft drive. That looks like a good car for sub-c batteries. Side mount shafts wouldn't be a good idea if you were to get T-boned. Nice car.

The title is kind of misleading since this isn't an XRay product.

The era of shaft drive has probably passed, but I don't think it would be completely ruled out by switching to LiPo. The LiPo cells are actually quite thin, and might be able to fit under a shaft if the packs were designed in that sort of way. You could locate electronics on the opposite side of the motor with the batteries down the center and probably get some decent balance.

I'm just a couch engineer when it comes to R/C cars, though.

Ok sheep, so you believe whatever people title their threads. Good, I'm going to start one that says "send me all your money, because you are a idiot". I expect a check next week since you are so gullable.

I think he ment was if you read all the posts before you made your comment you would of already known that no matter what the thread title says it is not an Xray. Nothing more.

Those are not Corally shocks and don't even look like them. They are Riemon shocks which is the same company making this prototype.

The thread title is a little off, but who the F cares! It's really cool to see cars like this and being different makes it even cooler

More power to the companys like Riemon, BMI, Diggity designs, etc.....
