This is basically "Firewire", you will need the Firewire connection into your pc (like USB)
I don't know if your Canon came with a video editing software and you will also need a compressor software to make it into Quicktime or Mpeg form. If you have a Mac it can be very easy to do but I have no experience with PC's. Sorry

Default Is it on a Mini DV Tape?

I have someone who edits tapes professionally and she can do it!

Best part of the weekend: both triple-A's and the Invitational winners weren't decided until the final round. If it weren't for some team driving*, Invite would have been decided much sooner, probably by the lunch break on Sunday, but at least it made it interesting.

Great job by everyone: Fred, Mike, Scotty, Barry, etc.

Other best part of the weekend: Thad's Pro 3 qualified 4th in the Mod A! haha

Other other best part of the weekend: racers coming up to Thad's pit and asking "Is that the new car?"

Not that I'm against team driving, it's just that some racers and race fans prefer not to have team affiliations influence race results. I didn't mind it but some people did.

From the looks of those results it is very apeareant that there is no one dominant car in sedan class right now. Just about every make should feel good after the Reedy. Man top 4 Invite-4 different cars...wow

Radio problems. I think I finished 2 practice runs. I didn't finish any qualifiers and packed up before my main. If my car *had* been working for the main, *I* would have won the battery pack that that kid in the orange shirt won.

The problem lies either with the motor or the radio (which was new with a new module). I had a new Xxtra receiver mounted on three layers of servo tape, tried another known working Xxtra receiver, tried a different known working receiver, moved the receiver position 3 times, seated the brushes at 4.8v for more than 10 minutes, tried a different known working servo, changed capacitors to new ones, moved the capacitors, put an Rf filter on the negative motor wire, moved the antenna to the top deck, moved the personal transponder to 3 different positions, charged the transmitter batteries all weekend, yadda yadda...nothing worked.

Doesn't matter now, the car is officially retired and sits on my shelf. I still had fun taking pictures, watching the Invite and triple-A races and catching up with the other racers. Plus, it's not like I had a flight home or a 7-hr drive home to worry about - I live 15 minutes away so I could sleep in my own bed, jump on the internet, etc.

The results are posted here:

http://www.tamiyausa.com/events/reed...penresults.htm

My total lap time aren't very indicative of the speed of my car. In the first main, I slowed down on the last few laps to save my tires. In the second main, the tires went away, my car got tweaked and was all over the place. Third main, I slowed down on the last lap to watch the fight for second and third and watch my buddies Dave and Tom go at it. It almost cost me becaue I wasn't really focusing on my car and started to hit things with it. Luckily, I got my act together and finished the race

Frank were you using the Switch-Reciever combo in an older m8? I know a racer here had the same problem you desrcibed and Novak said that in the Older M8's that may be a capatability problem. He gave the racer some things to do try. Novak said the best thing was to send in the m8 to them and they would upgrade it to work. Do not know if this was your problem but wanted to try and help a bit.

That's cool Frank. It seemed everyone at the races where having glitch problems in different degrees. I just thought a guy with your skills would do better, anyway, there's always Reedy04.
