I thought it was the 1/10 scale off-road worlds. Associated and Losi pulled out, so only shumacher and locals were left and they decided it wouldn't be much of a show.

Yea, you might be right. Or maybe it ended up being the off-road and then on-road worlds back-to-back in South Africa last year.
I could look it up, but it's late, and I'm tired.

The IFMAR on-raod worlds are scheduled to be in the USA in 2004 and the 2003 ROAR outdoor Nats is the qualifier for the race so Ive been told. We also have the IFMAR offroad electric worlds here in FLA this September or October and the IFMAR 1/8th scale gas worlds are here in Ohio in September so there will be plenty of awsome races to catch this year and next in the US.

any word if this is spec motor for the race?
Reedy 19T “Quad-Mag” Motor
Hot on the heels of Reedy’s new Krypton (Kr) Modified comes the Reedy 19-turn “Spec” class motor. This all-new motor is designed specifically for all classes of electric spec-class racing; offroad, onorad, oval and touring car. It utilizes the Kr’s trend-setting four-magnet can, mid-sized 9mm commutator, laydown brushes, black can and a distinctive bright orange endbell.

MDawson,
Doesn't that motor remind you the looks of the old Reedy Firehawk? (I think it was the Firehawk, correct me if I'm wrong)

It does. I just saw on another site that the motor is slated to be released in AUG. (RC Car Action)
I'll leave it to the Reedy insiders to give us information if this is going to make a showing at RROC.

If Reedy did release it early just for the RROC, it would be one hell of a promotional tool. It also prevents people from going out and getting the current Reedy Spec Motor to prepare for the race.

Perhaps in order to produce the best product for the customer Mike.R & Bob.N have decided to ebb the current establishment.
There are many of us who could care less what ROARCA want, we club race weekly, and less maintanance, more efficiency is what will sell, regardless of the rulebooks of a few.
