Default 13.5 Sintered Rollout

Put a sintered rotor in my 13.5 today. Had been running around a 33mm rollout with the non-sintered motor. What are people rolling out with with the sintered motor? 10th scale TC.

I've been going much higher, more like 42-43MM. The motor seems to fade a little at the end if I go too high.

Boy syndrome will like this thread. I raced a 13.5 with a 36.5mm roll out, and he ran a 13.5 with a 41mm roll out. I was 4.5 seconds faster in qualifying.
I first thought the sintered was about 4 teeth taller, but now I think its about 5 or 6. But I'm hearing guys up to ten teeth higher than a stock 27. WOW! I'm sure track size makes a difference. I cant wait to hear some of these posts.
With Lipos I think 4 to 6 teeth taller is it. I'm running lipos. And a GTB. #3 profile. No fan on motor or speedo. Foam usally around 56mm to 55mm tires.
Like John Tag I think I could have pushed a 37mm or maybe a 38mm. I may try some day?

Our local tracks are 100X40 carpet with 6 foot avg lanes and twisty. Not WFO tracks. Semi techinal tracks. Brushed stocks there run 28mm

Ive heard of some crazy rollouts with it so Im interested in the answers too. I wonder if there is a point of diminishing returns? Seems temperature is never an issue.

I think before the temperature becomes an issue the track will have to be huge and out doors. The sintered rotor can hide over gearing as far as the temp.
Out doors the 13.5 has got to be the most cruise control motor of the century?
I'll check the roll outs with the stock 27 guys tues. I just borrowed a 13.5 the other night, but I'm buying it this week. Maybe I'll test it out some more. That sintered rotor is something else I can tell you that. I have one in my 4300, And my 5.5 Whoa! Great Thread.

Tag,

I've found somewhere around 36.5 to be the sweet spot. Have you timed them both? I know the tracks you are talking about? Just seems like I can make up alot more time in the infield with the 36 then with 38-39. Just my .02

Man, I dont even have pinions that can get me this high. I would need like a 50T+ pinion with smaller tires. I have a 2.25 internal ratio with a 96T spur. Im going to have to start using a spur gear as a pinion if it gets up anymore.

The stock 13.5 already has the upgraded end bell with the large bearing. Unless you want the ribbed end bell? Its lighter.
