i need to know which reedy motor is a step above the novak 5800, i have a 4.5 and its way too much the track im running, and im using everything the 5800 has, just dont want a novak again, looking at the reedy neo,just need to find someone who can give a comparason

The Reedy Neo1 One Star seems to be something like a 13 turn brushed, but the Novak SS8.5 is only the equiv. of a 17 turn. That seems like a big step in terms of brushless.

i wish the brushless companies would settle on a universal method dertermining how fast they are lol. at least you knew with a brushed motor.
so what brushed wind is a 4.5 equivelent to like a 7t or something?

I know Novak made or still make a 7.5 & 6.5 these would be faster than a 5800, although there are the Neo 1 2 & 3 Star motors that would be worth looking at too

Novak 4.5 is equiv to a 6t, 5.5 is 8t, 6.5 is 10t, and 7.5 is 12t. That's about what I figured it out to be. the 3.5 has a 10500kV rating, so I'm not even sure what that is. ( 4 turn? )

the 3.5 and 4.5 have a retarded amount of horsepower lol. I bought a 3 star and a 6.5 im going to try those. Thanks for the info guys~!

that actually makes sense, an 8.5 would be equivalent to a 17t (8.5 x 2).
