2007 ROAR on-road asphalt nationals

Seattle/Tacome aka SeaTac is the closest airport......its ablout a 45 minute drive to the track with no traffic....with traffic, can be 90 minutes or so.....my advice, get a flight that arrives around 12pm or so Pacific.....if yer on the road before 3pm, yer fine......or wait till late, 7pm or later....

While I have never been to Socal, Toso and Barry told me the surface there is like no other.....not to mention, that its still southern cal, so I would imagine the temp is a bit higher on the avg day....
Our avg temp is much lower, the building stays super cool, even in the summer hot days......and our surface is high grade asphalt......
Don't they use RP30s at the Reedy Race? I remember Peter's and Trav's tires came back looking almost brand new.....they would just move the fronts to the rear and put new ones in the front.....Peter didn't even use all his tires the year he won......

The track temps year-round is 63 , with paragon being the only tire additive that works..You must use it or you cant get around the track..
Hot or cold outside the track is always 63 degrees, it all depends on if the big doors are open or closed that makes the difference in traction and what to run new or old tires..
Generally in the summer new kicks in the winter with the doors shut old kicks work better...
So the tire is EddieO?

I just realized ...my wife and son are going on an Alaska Cruise leaving Seattle 07/06 ...since my "on the road passengers" seem to be dropping like flies, maybe I should just fly up with them and stay since the 6th, just means I can't bring my dyno and zapper as to much to carry on a plane, so I'll have to find someone willing to build my motors (I'll pay for the service

EddieO/someone local ...is there an Embassy Suites nearby the track? I know couple pages back were posted hotels in order of location to the track, but if I'm gonna be staying for 11 days, may as well make it in a hotel chain I have points at and am familiar with (not to mention the free drinks during the managers reception daily

No embassy suites in arlington, maybe everett or lynnwood.....everett is about 20 minutes away, lynnwood about 30 minutes....
Tires, we are still working on that.....
And no need for zappers or dynos really......the br00d shop is in the same building....

I tested a set of rp30's the other day and they were pretty good...more steering than sorex tires....and faster on the second run...
we will test others and make a decision soon I believe....
