Default cooling fan for speed control

i have a traxxas rustler and i got a xrs novak speed control and trinity sg 17t motor. after a 50 laps on the roadcourse the speed control gets hot to the touch. i am wondering if i should install a cooling fan

just guessing, but it's geared for onroad.. all that traction and big fat tires is sometimes hard on electronics..

i have it geared at 15 and 87. this is pretty low for what i use to run
