How much slower was the invite class this year with 5 cells?
what was the lap times difference last year to this.

I was not there, but many people have posted that some people went more laps in their runs than in previous years. I take that as it was in fact faster not slower. Maybe someone who was there can say for sure.

I think the old "mod / 6 cell" lap record for the track was broken this year by "mod / 5 cell" by .2 sec a lap.

Actually the fastest lap was the same as it was last year. Atushi Hara did a 12.4- last year and this year Mike blackstock was did a 12.4 as well. However i think overall pace improved since this was the first year anyone has seen 24 laps.

Just to give everyone an idea of how fast this year was, look at these stats:

- This was the first year the invite drivers went 24 laps in their races. I think there were 2 or 3 drivers to do so.
- The fastest run in open mod (Kyle Skidmore w/ 5 cell) was 23 5:01. Last year the fastest run was ~ 23 5:08 by Bobby Flack (6 cell brushed).

That's great to see the speed has increased (we all want to go faster) it
seems that with the removal of one cell, the power has become more user
friendly less wheel spin more forward motion!
