I talked to Scotty a couple of hours ago and it sounds like they are having issues getting the net out to the track. Also, it's just practice today so you won't see any actually racing/qualifying results until Saturday.

If they are running a 400' CAT5 cable then yes they will be having some issues.

One day in and three to go. It is fun just watching the best of the best. Keep up the great practice guys. Can't wait til the racing starts.

Will have the video camera tommorrow. I will eventually post vid some on the net.

Kevin, a few guys were allowed to practice today. I think three in all. Maybe things may change for tommorrow.

Didn't they try to run a 400' cable last year? I seem to remember it not working... 295' is the limit for cat 5 w/o a repeater.

paco, if you're not in the race. you should not be allowed to practice. and you shouldnt even be on the drivers stand trying to steal or sneak in practice time for those racers who are in the race. kevin SHOULD KNOW better.

How should I know better Chris....?

I was told I could practice in an open heat, while supporting my local track on Tuesday. I am on the waiting list. I was told to come down and practice and see if anyone would drop out of the race. Upon arrival, I was told I would not know until Saturday.

I did not take anyone's time. I waited for an open heat (19t) in which, I knew the driver was not there and (while running Spektrum) tried to practice until you complained about me. Why ? Afraid of being bumped down to a lower heat....? Wow..I see the race organizers did allow the guys to practice.
