Wow, tough crowd ... I love rctech but there is alot of functionality it lacks as far as providing a platform to build a "real" community. Shane (founder of rctech) would probably tend to agree...Plain and simple, Social RC's goal is to make rc racing bigger and better by bringing ALL stakeholders together. We are in this together guys..Josh is a visionary, would of thought the guys in this forum were too...

I've have a question, I'm running the EVO 2 now with a 27 turn, and now recently brushless, would it be worth it to upgrade to the pheonix?

The Phoenix is designed around BL motors. The pod is designed to balance the car better with the added weight of a BL motor. Because of the extra rear weight the Tplate and chassis have been changed to get more steering in the car as well. If you are going to only be running BL now then it probably will be worth the money and effort to upgrade.

The bottom plate on the pod of the Phoenix is also a lot stronger than the EVO2.

Cypress - Yep, I am leaving in the morning but I am going to bring my lap top to try and catch up on some posting info as well as other paper work I need to do! Are you coming up for the race??

TCRacer101 - Sorry but we will not be re-opening CEFX Raceway. The good news thought is that Rider's Hobby in Ypsilanti is going to be purchasing the CEFX Raceway carpet, boards and a bunch of other stuff so there will be a new track up and running soon. I think they are shooting for the end of August. After the GLC and IFMAR WC in Portugal I hope to get up there to help them with anything they need so the track can be up and running. Then I can practice a little for the IIC in Vegas!!!

The CEFX Raceway site finished up with it's terms for the site so we shut it down. There was no need to have a site for a track/hobby shop that no longer exists. We need to rebuild the www.cefx.net site totally so that's one of my major plans to take care of in the coming months.

If anyone needs anything from CEFX please just send me an e-mail via the CEFX web site. We are working hard to re-setup everything since the track move and just the other day the CNC was fired back up and parts are starting to roll off again.

There are a lot of updates and new cars coming for the 08/09 season.

Phoenix 12 - Updates to Chassis, T-Bar, Lower Plate and cross brace (all items fit the old car)

Phoenix 10 - New 1/10 pan car with several cool features and parts that cross over from the Phoenix and our new 1/10 oval car.

Lithium 10 - New 1/10 oval car with a lot of trick new ideas as well as coming Lipo ready as a lot of oval racers are now turning to Lipo's.

I will try to post images of all these new cars soon. I wanted to post images of completed cars rather than cad images as I have in the past but I think I may just fire out the cad images so everyone can see what I've been working so hard on.

More soon!

Check with EJ Evans at TOP Racing USA. They can either help you directly or send you over to someone who can.
