And the chassis is even both sides...the stock chassis has more material on one side. Vic says it balances out perfectly with the new GP3300 batts the way they designed it, no uneven weight distribution due to heavy batts.

I'm curious to see if it's actually any faster. I see a lot of club level racers put expensive parts ont heir car and talk about how much faster it is, then when I look back at their laptimes they aren't any faster. Sometimes slower.

Mr. Warpspeed- have you figured out a way to use the alternate mounting positions without purchasing a whole new set of longer pinions?

BigDogRacing:

If you move the motor out from the stock position you have to use the long shank pinion gears. But even on a stock position we still use the long shank pinion gears. On our chassis we move the motor plate 4.5mm out. Alot of the guys are running the motor plate in the stock position, and putting spacers in 6-8mm thickness to move the motor out, and they have to use the long shank pinion gears. I have not come up with an alternative.

Is there room to combine the spur gear with the rear drive pull on the layshaft? I haven't taken the time to mic it and see... but now that I know you are moving it out 4.5mm I might put my wish-I-was-an-engineer glasses on and take a look at it. Or, maybe I'll stay at a Holiday Inn Express tonight...
