I wouldn't really call it bad luck, I was just playing around.

For stock I use 48 pitch pinions and spurs. For our track(about 140 by 80 I think)I use the stock 72 spur w/usually a 24 or 25 pinion for a good stock motor. For 19t I use about one to two teeth lower than stock so 23 or 24.

Another guy on the team runs the mission so if I see him soon i'll try to remember to tell him to come on here and talk.

Everyone at our track w/the demon uses the nitro rack. I just did it b/c everyone else had it, but it seemed to calm down the steering and actualy turn the corner than wanting to slide into he corner. Not the biggest difference in the world though.

I wish I could go to the ready race, but I still have a couple days of school (exam week actually) and also It's in califorina and I am in Florida. My dad really doesn't want to travel quite that far, YET(wants me to get a little better first).

stephen you're missing out if you run 48p gears man...

64p = more efficient and more gear selection choices...and i'm sure you know how to set a gear mesh...

stephen by the way you can get the stock rack to give more steering...put spacers under hte rack ballstuds.

Yes, Art (muffin) was telling me about it (he runs 64 pitch) I was thinkking about switching but never got around to it plus I have a lot of 48p pinions and spurs but I will be thinking about it.

That is a good idea, but for more steering I put the losi knuckles on w/the nitro rack and just grind some of the swing rack arms away.

all you guys who are running the demon, what rack are you using? and why?

in never run stock before, i am trying it this week, i would like to know what gear ratio you are running?spur gear and pinion?
64/48?
After running mod stock is going to seem slow to you. I run 48 pitch final drive 6.92 72 spur with a 25 pin. I do a lot of outside racing and with the gears being exposed the way they are the 48 pitch takes more abuse( you know little rocks and mystery junk on the track).

It depends on how clean your track is, but about a couple months for me.

My track is clean, so i get the most out of my gears (64p)

Harley stock is gonna seem hella slow, so just be prepared. Stock is actually quite fast now a days, but nothing compared to running an 8x2 full out

I think if you look a couple pages back some other people say why (although its the same reasons I told you, everyone runs the nitro rack on the demon that I know)
