Default Assistance Required re GM V3 ESC

Have just picked up a second hand GM V3 ESC in mint condition. However I havn't got any info/manual with it. Can anyone give me some guidlines to setup and programming this unit.???

turn radio on, turn esc on, pull trigger full throttle, set it down and go

Do you not need to set the brake..?? Just pull full throttle and back to neutral..???

Does anyone know what sort of motor the GM V3 will handle. Will it handle down to a 15 or 16 turn..?? Just went to look at the GM website, but it was all in German, and didn't seem to have an English option.
