hi,
just a quick one regarding shock mounts
the question is a harder spring leaned in, or, a softer spring leaned out?
what are peoples opinions and what are the advantages/disadvantages of each

I don't believe that leaning the shocks in/out will be enough of an adjusment to justify different springs.

I think you'll find that shocks being more upright will help with quick direction changes etc.

With the Mi2 EC we tend to run the softer springs (White's) and have the shocks more upright (when necessary).

Leaning the shock in makes the suspension softer. Standing it up makes it harder. The upper mount holes allow finer adjustments while the lower holes on the arm make a bigger difference. The more the shock is stood up, the more linear the shock will feel. As you lay it down, it becomes more progressive. Either way, the shock position is just another way to fine tune your suspension and doesn't neccessarily replace spring rates.
