RC shops in NYC?

Are there any good RC shops in NYC? I'll be visiting in a couple of weeks and want to take advantage of the good conversion rate (I'm English)
Are there any good shops near midtown that stock competition RC products?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Dave

Dont forget Nagengast

Nagengast in Fresh Ponds Road, Queens NYC. Ask for Ed, he'll take care of you. Thank God for small favors that America's Hobby Center is no longer.

Willis Hobbies is in Mineola. It is decently close to Queens (15 minutes or less). From NYC it could be a haul(maybe 45 minutes). I really don't know since I'm in Nassau County. Anyway, they have a indoor carpet track in the basement. They have a very knowledgeable staff and have a very good selection on America based cars and thier parts. As for European, Asian and other imported brands, they don't have a large selection. Willis Hobbies does carry a large selection of lower grade Tamiya (TT-01, ETC...) and all X-Ray cars and parts. If you want to race, I would go to Willis. If you just want to see some other hobbyshops, stay local. Hope I helped.

Cheers guys. I'm only looking to pick up some motors. Maybe some cells. I'll have to convince the girlfriend that queens is a lovely place well worthy of our valuable vacation hours!

Ha Ha!.....I see everyone knows about those BAD guys at American Hobbies. That place as Nothing. So they`re over.....?
-Manattan has NO Hobby Shops for R.C. Cars.

Check out Nagengast Hobby. If you`re going to be here for a few; tell Ed what you want and he`ll order it(He doesn`t have any good Batteries in stock; but he has a few Trinity Motors).

Hey bxpitbull; it`s Dead at the Pro 4 and Evo 5 spots. . . . .What`s Go`in with that?

Take Care

If you can travel back in time 16 years, you could visit John Lee at Queens Off Roaders.

They are more of an airplane shop, but they do cater to the car guys. This is where Mike Mal works now.
