Power Supply

I bought a LRP Power Suppy today (10amp one). Am I mean't to buy special plugs to connect the charger to the power supply or can I just turn the knobs back and connect the aligator clips that way?
I am also looking at buying a 2nd charger which will be my sons. Does it matter if the postive and positive or negative and negatice clips from different chargers touch each other?

Cheers

i think you should have bought a power unit with more than 10 amps to run two chargers on

You'll have no problems doing that with th + and -.

Agreed...You should get another power supply for your son aswhile as 10 amps is enough just to power 1 charger and other low amp draw suppporting equipment.

Since we're charging cells @ 6 amps now, so 6+6=12amps .... 12 amps from 10amps = Poof....

Actually 10 A is plenty for 2 chargers, as long as the total charging is about 9 A or less.

It's ok for the charger inputs to touch each other. Not the outputs.

I charge my packs at 5amps and the charger I bought for him chargers at 4amps which makes 9 amps so that should be fine?

You're pushin' it, but you should be fine.

Help the guy with the question, not tell him what he should have done :(

yes you can take the caps off and connect them that way, or buy banana plug to make a cleaner looking connection (also check out team Integy's distribution block. Furthermore it does not matter if they touch, just keep the black from the red.

Actually on LRP's site they claim to run 2 chargers on the 10 amp and 3 on the 14 amp :ha:

Just another quick question. The Hot Bodies dual charger that comes with the E-Savage can charge 2 x batteries at 4 amp. Does this mean it is going to put out 8 amp and wont be able to be used with another charger on the power supply?
