Default parts for sv-10 alcyon2

People with the Kawada sv-10 alcyon2(ultimate and ex) series of cars ,Evolution Hobbies will be carring parts for those cars as well as selling them .But they are starting with the sv-10 sigma single belt car first,it has the most interest. The alcyon kits will come later but if you need parts now ,contact www.evolutionhobbies.com and e-mail them about special ordering parts in .
for parts list try www.kawadamodel.co.jp

Default ITQ

Long time no hear, how come you don't MAKE time to play??
You should keeps you young
I have 3 SV10 right now, 1 older sv and 2 Alcyon 2, drove the older one, but I like the Alcyon2 waaay better.

Tried too loosen the middle bridge, but it's too flexy, am thinking in "designing" a new top chassis. didn't know a plate of carbon fibre cost that much .

Indoor season ended last weekend, and finished in a 4th outta 8th position, not bad for a first season

very curious how my first season on asfalt will end up, any tips perhaps???

hehe been buzy thats why long time no hear .....
nah i am not 'that' old .. ehh
just that i am going to college soon and time will be a bigg factor now getting rdy and all that .... i will try squeze in 1 run of glory b4 really attending college

WOW a kawada fan huh ....
the older chasis is more flexxy and more forgiving to drive just lay down the shocks to it max ( lowest hole front and abck )
it tends to be faster if u drive it hard enuff but it can only get THAT fast .... no faster ... and tends to tweak once u have a crash

for the alcyon 2 ..... ehhh
drive it too hard and u will end up spinning out ... but if u keep ur temptation to push hard to go faster in check u will be WAYY faster...

a plate of carbon fibre ? OMG dun ask .... i wanted to order a new bottom deck for my 414m because i mite ruin it once i try to remove the stripped screws ... looked at price ( direct from japanese webpage)
jaws dropped ... and figured it would be better to slowly spend time drilling the screw out carefully ....
PHEW i saved myself a bigg ghole in my pocket ... LUCKI

cool congrats for the pretty good finish .....
heh...

asphlat ? tips ?
er........ go slowly from where u left off on ur carpet 1st ....
and remember to use asphlat tires (important)

then generally i will say that u will need a softer setup for asphlat if the carpet u used to run on is high bite track ....

well u can also try dual one ways but if u dun like it dont use it ...
will take some time to master but once u do .. u will be WAYYY faster .....

cant say much now .... actuallly .... just try it and if u face any probs post here or pm me ... see if i can be on any help

good luck

Had Pitzu's for carpet veeeey good ones, do they make good asfalt tires, if so what shuld I look for, always afraid in buying the wrong ones. Do remember that over here weahter isn't that hot,max temp of 30C!! What inserts, I get it, will be a HUGE hole in MY pocket, one kind of tire and three kind of inserts to make three sets of tires, OH BOY

hm...... i normaly use sorex 36r or maybe 40r but i think ur weather will require sorex 28r or 32r

inserts well... i will go for soft inserts for best traction .... but u will get super accelerated tire wear...........

i say soft because the kawada chasis itself is a stabe and nice handling car dun need inserts to tune drivability .... just go for max traction if u r out to snatch the 1st place

Does Kawada still make tires? If so, belted or non-belted, any sizes?

Check out their site www.kawadamodel.co.jp or check or email their US distributor on www.evolutionhobbies.com

They have good long lasting tires, but there're better on the market.

What car do you have??

Just thought I would point out, there is already another thread with about 2 pages of information on this car here

..and unless anyone objects, I wouldn't mind merging the two threads, and re-name the thread to "Kawada SV-10"
