Default Futaba 3PM 3-Channel 2.4GHz Transmitter/Receiver

I'm looking for a 2.4GHz Radio ... is this good?

Spektrum also has a DX3 ... contemplating between the two.

Futaba FASST 2.4 GHz system is a FHSS (frequenzy hopping spread spectrum) but the Spektrum is a DSSS system (direct sequencing spread spectrum). The Futaba system is constantly changing between free frequencies. Spektrum's system locks one frequency until it dosn't work any more and then goes into fail safe which might newer happen but there is a risk. Both systems seems to work well but I would take the futaba.

Both are good systems though the Futaba one is much newer. Spektrum had some new product glitches when it was still new to the market that have for the most part been worked through now. The only issue that remains is with the original style recievers having problems with ESCs that have BECs with a low output voltage. This can be cured by using a capacitor on the reciever or using a reciver battery pack. The Pro series has capacitors built in so in most cases does not need the external capacitor or reciever battery pack. Futaba's is stll brand new and I have seen no problems reported as of yet.

Default More feedback please

Thanks for the replies, so far I'm still using my Futaba 2PL AM radio . But I want to upgrade soon, and I was thinking going with the Futaba 3PM FASST 2.4GHz. They are still new in the market, if anybody already have them, please post your experience with the Futaba system. Thanks.

There's a Futaba 2.4Ghz thread here with 80 pages of people gushing about how great it is. I agree with them all, it's simply flawless in every way. You get the HRS mode without any delay, and it works as it should, every single time. Futaba wins. One of the best R/C purchases I ever made as a FASST system for my 3PK.
