There will be info on our websites shortly, but the new Vortex BL and Vantage BL will be released late this month. These motors will run with sensored or sensorless controllers and will initially be offered in the most popular winds for TC and Off-Road racing. Soon after, the Stock and 19T versions will be released.

A photo of the motor is in this thread.

Yes. But as motor specialists, we think it is best to deliver motors first. The motors themselves will be a great upgrade for those that already have brushless systems or a perfect way for new brushless users to enjoy Team Orion/Peak power the traditional way - buy a speedo and buy a motor with no need to limit your choices to a "system".

I love the removable plug. I guess the days of "completely" sealed brushless motors are gone. If your motors run much cooler with all the vents, everybody is gonna have to do it. And so it begins...

The removable plug is genius. Keeping with their track record it shows that the Orion guys are paying attention.

For all those interested, we will be receiving our initial shipment of Vortex brushless motors this week! While the packaging is still being completed, we would like to make motors available immediately - Especially with the Proline Cactus Classic coming up in less than two weeks.

So If anyone is interested in obtaining the Vortex, please give Team Orion USA call. We will have 3.5, 4.5, 5.5, 6.5, and 7.5 in stock with 10.5 and 13.5 versions will be available in the very near future. We also expect SRS Raceway (Cactus Classic venue) to have them in stock the week of the event.

We have not yet run them in the US although they have been tested. It is a sticky situation. One one hand, we are not in business to release new products that we don't think are better (faster) that what is already out there, but we do not want it to be so much faster that is is outlwawed because of a performance advantage.

MSRP will be $129.99 but of course they wil be discounted by retailers.

I am not sure about leads. We will offer them but I am not sure about lengths.
