I got a feeling there 13.5 will be close to the 13.5 Novak? I sure hope we get to put them together at our track?

One is listed 27T and one 23T. Maybe the 23T will be the same as the 13.5 Novak? Its getting interesting HUH?

It's hard to be certain, but these "budget" 13.5 motors seem to have a lower wattage rating than the Novak 13.5. Hopefully Novak will update their chart soon with the "pro" motors so we can see the numbers with sintered rotors, and attempt to create a master sheet comparing all the motors from these different companies on some kind of common ground.

Maybe by calling the 13.5 like a 23T, they're just trying to be more truthful in their marketing. The general opinion lately is that a 13.5 with a sintered rotor is indeed faster than a 27T.

One problem I see with these brushed equivalency ratings is that while they may be somewhat accurate for 6 cell, things get a little goofy with 4 cell and lighter cars. The 13.5 in a 1/12 is a rocket.

Our 13.5 will be very similar to the Novak will it be faster? maybe , maybe not we know the importance of making the motors capable of running with each other more so in this spec then any other.

Also for those who fearing motrs deferng in performance there is also going to be a perfromance gain or loss when using different ESC's and that is going to be the harder aspect to deal with. Some motrs work much better with certain controllers. The same thing has been happening for years in brushed motors and ESC's and Brushless will not solve this issue what it does bring is cheaper costs over time and much less maintenance.

Novak and others have shown you can go just as fast or faster all day long with out the hassle cost or mess of "tuning motors". I feel brushless is definately the future, brushed had a good run but now we need to look forward to a brighter tomorrow with Brushless and Li-Po. Now somebody just needs to develop a more then one run tire that is competative and a competative chassis that does not require a co-signer and we could see our sport/hobby finally take that next step.

Count me in on that one ...
the cost of tires and their short lifespan stops me cold from racing sedan like I do off-road....

Love sedan ,but I can`t afford to race head to head with guys with huge tire budgets...

You can buy the escs directly from graupner.de but I'm not sure if they ship internationally.

Best would be send an e-mail to graupner.

Anyone know a release date for the Orion 10.5 motor? Tower says mid-April but their dates are always off. My track wanted to develop a spec class and I was going to suggest the Orion 10.5 since it does sensored and sensorless but if it is not released before our season starts it cant be an alternative.

What do I use to clean the motor? Motor spray or air?
