Which Mamba max?
#1

I fried my Mtroniks cirrus pro today and like to switch to a Mamba max now but I am confused which system KV 5700 or KV6900 or KV7700. I am running 6 cells in my SD LCG. With the new rules coming (5cells) I thought the KV7700 would be good choice to have decent speeds. Any thoughts?

Ok thanks In comparing to a brushed motor how much would be a kv7700? 7turns or 8turns? Can I use Lipo in the future for it?

As good as the Mamba motors are I believe they are not ROAR legal and possibly not EFRA legal. As you are asking about suitability with 5 cells, the legality of the motors may be a concern for you?

Currently, the Mamba isn't ROAR legal. For racers, this eligibility is of a concern.

im not sure about legal or anything, but the mamba 7700 is right at 7 turns i think. maybe 6. lipo works fine with the system. ive only seen one person run one and he said after he ran a lipo i nit that he would never go back to a 6cell. or even an 8 cell.... but it HAS to be a 2s lipo. a 3s will make it turn over 100000rpms..... it would literally tear itself apart from the inside out and destroy your car too

Ok guys,
thanks for the comments. I'm sure the Mamba Max will be legal soon by ROAR, EFRA, JMRCA and IFMAR since more sensorless motors hit the market these days.
I think I'll go for the 7700 since I don't think the organizations will allow 3s lipo's in the future.
