Will the Mi2 diffs, arms, steering knuckles a direct fit onto the Mi3...? Need some planning about keeping 1 Mi2 for both Mi2EC and Mi3 for parts or not...

As for the car, its good to see Schumacher back to their old tricks again. Doing something different than everybody else, but still having it work just as well or better.

I wonder if this car could peacefully co-exist on the pit table with my TA05.

How's this?

Schumacher Mi3: It isn't the end. No, it's not even the beginning of the end! It is, however, the end of the beginning.

Mi2 diffs will fit; Mi3 diffs will be updated for locking rings.

Mi2 arms will fit, but no way to mount swaybars; Mi3 arms will be beefed up and will have new swaybar mounting.

Mi2 steering blocks, castor blocks same

Observations of an F finalist enthusiast!!

Are the diff outdrives and spool outdrives made from the same material as the MI2ec?

With my MI2ec I found the small pin in the drive shafts break through the plastic blades and mark the outdrive (destroy spools). To change the spool you had to purchase a full new unit.

The thicker pin and blade in the Cyclone may have improved this.

A shiny purple or alloy diff and spool would have finished this project off just nicely.

The first thing most people changed on the MI2ec was the front Alloy CV drive shafts they seem to bend easily. I see this kit comes with alloy drive shafts and not titanium or steel ones.

I will watch results with interest and Look forward to see pit pictures of the actual race cars.

Thats the wrong setup though. You need 0 degrees on the LF and 3-4 on the RF for oval!!

Pics of the new Spool

The new spool is a 3 piece assembly that allows you to replace the outdrive cups if they get damaged. The new cups are less likely to get damaged because they are twice as thick for better blade support and toughness.

simini80 - The new spool should take care of most of the spool issues. We find that the alloy drive shafts (U3020 $39.99) are harder to bend than the steel MIP ones (U2151 $44.99). For the last 2 months we have been selling the updated U3020's with stronger CV pins and and a new barrel for better pin support. They are very tough.
