Carpet nats are underway at Trackside and everything is going great.

We had a brief power outage at the track today, but that was it. Competition is fierce, especially in Expert Stock Foam. Lemieux is the man to beat in mod, though he broke with a lap to go in the first qualifier, limped around the track with a broken rear arm and still managed to finish second.

Definitely a top-notch event being put on by NORRCA and the crew at Trackside!

Hey Futureal, my buddy Dave Hill is there racing his Alex Barracuda. He is skinny and has red hair. He's a super guy so feel free to holler at him for me. I thought you might like to know in case you want to see the car in person or get some pics.

Good luck!!!!

Big Dog, you are correct Mark is Barber. I was surprised to see him running sedan because I thought he had sold it. I guess I will find out tomorrow when I head on over. Plus, look at him in 1/12 th scale. He is not doing to bad in that car either.

Good job on the website gang. For those of you that haven't looked, the 4th round is posted.

Just got back from the track for the day. All four rounds are completed as Kraig said. It is being updated from the track.

I had about the worst day of racing I've ever had. I was slow all day and was looking in all the wrong places for it. It wasn't until the end of the day, after I was firmly planted in last in both classes I ran, until I realized I had a bad ESC. Swapped it out for another, went back on the track after everything was done and all the speed I'd been missing all weekend was there. And this is seriously either the 3rd or 4th GT7 I've somehow destroyed. Nearly brand new also, this one only had about 15 runs on it (the TCS race in Feb. and the ROAR race in early March). Uggh. I think I ran all three qualifiers today at what amounted to 75%-80% max. throttle.

Fun race though, as always at Trackside.

The GT7 (IMO) is a waste of money. If you're going to stay with Novak I'd go back to the TC2 or look for a different speedo. Too many problem out my way to say anything positive. Good luck in the main.

Race is over, great event all the way around. Good job to the crew at Trackside, and to NORRCA, who are donating the membership proceeds from the event to the U.S. troops deployed overseas via www.adoptaplatoon.org.

Paul Lemieux took the honors in modified, Timmy Heiser (with his new AE/Reedy ride) took Expert Stock, and Bill Jeric brought it home in 1/12 Scale.

I should have some pics & related info up on the site later tonight for anybody who is interested. If you guys ever have the chance to make it out to Trackside for one of their events, by all means do so. Definitely one of the first-class facilities in the country.

As for myself, boy did I ever have a terrible weekend. I got smoked by everybody in every which way. Bad electronics, bad set up, bad tires, bad everything. I even got bumped out of the Mod A Main. Next time I'm running Novice.

Wow looks like Team Schumacher is losing some of their top races here lately...that is not good for them. I have always enjoyed Schumacher products and always like to see them do well at these large event...you know if they have any new additions that they are planning to replace these drivers?

Thank you Scotty (AGAIN) for a great weekend of racing. some very close competitive racing and great sportsmanship by everyone. in a way it is sad that this was one of the last race weekends of the season, but it makes us look forward to next carpet season by ending on a high note.

Shane and Boomer - thank you for keeping everyone up to date on the action and i'll see you guys real soon.

big dog - thanx dude, you should of come up. it was some great racing. and i'm really pleased with the outcome (sort of). you lose some and you win some, i was just happy to be hitting on all cylinders for most of the time. hopefully we'll get to race together soon. take care.
