Can't argue with that, they did the right thing with the upgrade kit.

It's nice that they released improved cars, and a testament to their excellent R&D. Other cars get better with time too, thanks to people getting more familiar with them, learning new things, and continuing to develop the platform. How long does a car from a company like XRay actually stay in the hands of the pro drivers before they're off testing the next great thing? Are any of the kits really given a chance to realize their full potential? The people buying them that don't/can't keep up with the next greatest thing would really want to know.

But that's a tiny distinction, and I'm sorry this turned into a XRay bashing thread. I think they're great cars, and I'd buy one myself if I thought it was the right choice for me, or would make a bit of difference in my results.

I would rather sell my old car for $200, and buy a brand new car for $400 - costs the same.....and I get a new car....

My point....nothing really...just sharing my thoughts.

I kinda liked all the Dumas rumors myself - it was a little more entertaing with eddieO and company on board......

but I will take this...better than watching the Price is Right....lol

Yes agreed. But some people dont see money that way...They just see the 400.00 and dont realize that if you sell your old one for 200.00 your still only spending 200.00 out of your pocket (same as the conversion) and have a whole new car....

Kinda like if you buy something in the store for 499.00 Do you tell your wife you spent 400.00 or 500.00? I always go with the lower figure!! LOL

i'm not going to take sides on what is right,or what is wrong but...

Would you rather buy a car "fully upgraded" then see the next gen model come out, or buy upgrade parts as and when they get released?

If you have the I want it now attitude (like many have) they will pay the odds for the latest bling or hotup and fit it to their cars.

If you have the damn, I just want the top spec car and no development on it attitude that isnt really seeing that car is at its peak before the new model comes out.

Ok, its not the main issue but if we are talking about a new model of car then it just goes to show an R+D developement in one manufacturer has been busy.

And rightly so, as they need to be to keep the business strong.

Look at PC software and hardware, new hardware manufacturers are not to blame for making new stuff, its the software guys upping their game in what spec the PC needs to run the programme well.

Any business needs a turnaround, cat chasing tail senario... no definitive answer here...

The companies will keep making it only if the customers keep buying it.

If you don't like the 'new car every year' pattern, then stop supporting it.

That new bulkhead design isn't going to be worth a damn when you're parked against a board 3 times a race.

Can't stand it. Gotta chime in....

Here's the problem (and this is coming from someone who is a Marketing Manager for a large company) :

Too little market vs. too many people fighting for the same dollar.

If we're gonna air laundry, lets air it out for real.

If Xray sells about 1500 touring kits a year, how many people are left over? Those are the crumbs everyone else is fighting over.

The problem is there are only about 10k diehard touring guys out there (and it dwindles every year) out of those, maybe half buy a new ride, so you have a 5k market divided among 5+ manufacturers.

The real problem: Not enough customers to go around.

Xray essentially created the NY Yankees so they could win races and sell cars. That and their marketing team kicks all the others @sses as far as quality of materials, promotion, look and feel, printed goods. Everything that comes out the door over there is nicer than ANY other company. (note: Maybe you Losi/Associated guys should switch graphic designers? They are not earning their pay fellas)

Still, its a tiny market with too many people fighting for the money. So, they ALL try to release new stuff every week so they can garner some attention.

The LAST thing the Losi team should have EVER done is let what happened before, happen again. Someone should be fired over this.

Associated answers to another company now so they are hindered by new S&P and shipping container delays.

Wake up, these guys are fleecing us of our hard earned cash. If they say we need it, we buy it!

We only have ourselves to blame....

The Mi3 is scheduled to come out in late March...if everything goes as planned....if not it will be later.
